Mario Williams signed to a 6 year 100 million dollar deal (50 million guarantee) with the Buffalo Bills. Record-breaker for a defensive player!! Can you tell that I’m (along with the rest of Buffalo) excited??!
So I’m probably jumping the gun. But after the potential excitement of the Bills courting Robert Meachem only to hear soon thereafter that he signed a four year deal with the Chargers has made me a tad overly optimistic. Super Mario, please get on up here and help save the castle from Pokey Peyton and his potential Dolphins and Bowser Brady before the Bills go another ten years without a playoff appearance!!
PHEW! I just received word that my beloved Bills will be keeping their, erm, controversially playful wide receiver Stevie Johnson around for another few years (thanks for the good news, Adam Schefter). Continue reading →
Ladies, we have a new favourite on the blog to swoon over, and it’s this guy – yes, GM, we’ll wrestle you for him. David Freese also won the NLCS MVP, hit .397 in the postseason, broke a bunch of records, and came through in the clutch. But it’s his humble nature that teammates like Pujols and gals like us love.
Brad Smith may be new to the Buffalo Bills this season, but he just had to get in on Buffalita’s Bachelorette Party. Lady Bee put Part 1 on her post for a reason, people: we are not done with the revelry.
Ryan Miller of Buffalita’s beloved Sabres also wanted to, ahem, pay his respects. Knowing Buff works in the music biz, he decided on a theme outfit:
Aw yeah. People may joke about how cold Buffalo is all the time, but let me tell you this: our safety George Wilson can CERTAINLY bring some heat. Get ready for yet another set of gorgey eyes that you’ll all have trouble turning away from.
Having a little trouble catching up from the holiday week, so I decided to do a bit of a Hit and Run filled with useless, yet very interesting facts (at least I found them to be). More after the jump – hope everyone had a delightful football-filled turkey day!
Trust me, it’s not like I’m bragging by any means – I’m actually pretty glad that I couldn’t actually watch the action, given that it went from 14-3 to 14-12 in the last few seconds, in true Buffalo fashion. But after 3 weeks in a row of losing by 3 points, a win by 2 is still a win! More celebrating, reflecting, whining, and rambling after the jump…
So the draft came and went, and I have to say that I really wasn’t super excited about this. Will the Bills pick up a QB? Will we get some more horrid rookie OL? Maybe a RB? Too many questions (so I opted for happy hours) and much to my surprise, more or less everyone is disappointed with the Buffalo Bills’ choices. Self included. Let’s take a look, shall we? It’s late and I’m still awake, so instead of reveling in the happiness of the NFL Playoffs, I’ve decided to focus on how many cute, lycra-clad behinds that will disappear from our weekly viewing schedule for the next eight months.
In order to tide you over until August, follow the jump for one last look at the cute boys of the 2009 season who we won’t be seeing anymore…
And yes, that’s hottness with a double ‘t’. No, not talking specifically about Perry Fewell, the Bills’ new head coach (though he is pretty damn hot right now). I’m talking first of all about the Bills as a whole yesterday (are we sure that was them out there?!) and about their newest addition on the sidelines: Brian Brohm ♥ Continue reading →
It’s no secret: your writer is a big Bills fan. While I’m not super proud of the way they’ve been playing as of late, especially not against the Jets yesterday, I can’t act like I’m not excited that they finally won!
In honor of the fact that I endured what felt like winter already to watch this ridiculous display, here is a realistic rather than “reporty” post dedicated to photos and highlights of this, um, “game.” (Please note that the photos are from quite far away, as our seats were up high and out of the wind thankfully, so no good booties this week) Continue reading →
It’s no secret: I love Buffalo sports. But that also means that I’m no stranger with disappointment. After what looked like an amazing start last year in winning five of their first six games, the Bills managed to end in disappointment with a 7-9 record overall. It’s way too early to tell now obviously, but after yesterday’s disappointment (with my fantasy league QB against them not to mention, which creates a whole other moral dilemma by itself) it’s hard not to look back to the last three years of 7-9. And after the Sabres building me up just to let me down last year and the Mets breaking my heart year after year lately, you can’t really blame me in my losing of hope. What’s a poor fan to do? It’s no secret that athletes love Twitter. And fans love that so many athletes are a part of Twitter. I’m sure for many people Ochocinco’s Twitter is a daily source of entertainment. Athletes use Twitter for anything and everything; most of the time it is all in good fun. But it seems that some are using their Twitter account to rant and do a little trash talk. Now, I’m not uptight and have no problem with a little bit of trash talk before a game. However, I do have a problem when it is so incredibly corny or just straight up wrong. I think that if any athlete is going to use their Twitter to talk a little smack about their opponent, they should really do a better job than these people.
Ah, football season is finally here! I think I speak for everyone when I say that it couldn’t have come soon enough. Preseason football is so boring. Watching starters play about one quarter does not feed my appetite for football. Also, this will be my first season playing fantasy football (wish me luck!), so that makes the start of the season that much more exciting. There are 13 games this Sunday and another two on Monday. Some should be entertaining, while others are sure to be a snooze-fest. Unless you’re a fan, you probably aren’t counting down the hours until the showdown between the Rams and Seahawks.
So without further ado, I present to you (in no particular order and with my completely biased opinion) the top five games of Week 1…
The Bills finally signed their first-round draft pick Aaron Maybin to a five year contract. A huge gain for the Bills in the defensive end position, his pass-rushing skills are gonna be clutch for this ailing Bills squad.
One of these three are representing the Cowboys after the jump. Who do you think it is?
Some of us Ladies have been looking forward to football season, so I thought what better way to get everyone hyped than to feature a hottie from every NFL team. Each week for the next four weeks, we’ll be featuring lesser-known hotties from an AFC and NFC division.
Last week we featured hotties from the AFC and NFC North. This week, follow me after the jump to get a peek at some hotties from AFC and NFC East.
In other words, I hate TO. I do somewhat love to hate him too, so it’s all relatively easy for me. Yes, he’s a great player. Yes, he could really help out the poor Bills. But doesn’t matter – my mind is made up about him and I just plain do NOT like him at ALL. And in light of yesterday’s preseason lack of action, allow me to take a moment to rant now.
