Advent Calendar of Hotness Day 10: Calvin Johnson

Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos

Oh, shirtless pic! Why couldn’t you be bigger?

It seems this year’s Calendar is full of NFC North hotness. In celebration of reaching the 1,500-yard milestone for the second season in a row, we bring Calvin “Megatron” Johnson of the Detroit Lions.

Advent Calendar of Hotness: Day 13

Continuing on my second year football men trend, I accidentally stumbled on this adorable gem in my photo research for yesterday’s ACoH Ryan Mathews.  I have to be honest – I’m not really a Broncos fan, so I sadly missed wide receiver Mr. Eric Decker up until now.  If you’re familiar, you will certainly enjoy the abundance of photos I have collected.  If you aren’t familiar yet, just thank me later ;)

FINALLY! Buffalo has a WIN!

OH YEAH!

Trust me, it’s not like I’m bragging by any means – I’m actually pretty glad that I couldn’t actually watch the action, given that it went from 14-3 to 14-12 in the last few seconds, in true Buffalo fashion.  But after 3 weeks in a row of losing by 3 points, a win by 2 is still a win!  More celebrating, reflecting, whining, and rambling after the jump…

Ask the Ladies… Where the NFL Hotties Are (Part 1)

I'm sorry...what was the question again?

As though the Advent Calendar of Hotness was not enough, here’s a complete buffet of NFL sizzle to wrap up your Friday. The Ladies… were recently presented with a challenge. Karen of Fredericton, New Brunswick writes:

So, in a strange twist of fate, I found myself watching football this weekend. And liking it…Can you recommend a team with the most hotties? ;) I typically have liked the Patriots, but I could potentially be swayed.

We love a challenge almost as much as football booty. Can we successfully encourage this loyal reader to avoid the “victim of regional coverage” trap? (I know a lot of Pats fans in this province. Also, Red Sox fans. It hurts.)

We begin dishing the advice in one of two parts after the jump.

Foodie Friday: Bee’s Football Chili with BONUS BEER REVIEW

Oooh! Look at Adrian among the fall colours (photo: Getty Images)

With sweater weather in full swing and four weeks of fabulous NFL football under our belts, our palates crave the mellow, hearty tastes of autumn: apple pie, squash and pumpkin, free range turkey roasting in the oven stuffed with two boxes of Stove Top (I realize that this kind of defeats the purpose of the whole free-from-processed-crap slow-food movement, but damn, Stove Top is tasty!)

While a recipe for roast turkey would be more fitting this weekend as it is Canadian Thanksgiving, I realize that I did promise a chili recipe quite a while ago. Promise fulfilled after the jump.

NFL Roundup in Booties!!

Baby-Dancing-to-Beyonce-Single-Ladies

Yes, baseball regular season ended. AND the Mets swept in their final 3 (which I was surprised and ecstatic). But yesterday was also a big day in football, and everyone will have their eyes on tonight’s game with two HUGE rivals and one stupid old quarterback tying it all together. But because your dear writer moved this weekend and 1) is stressed for time on a longer post today since she doesn’t have internet at home yet and 2) didn’t get to watch a single second of football yesterday due to the lack of cable as well, here is your roundup. Not Hit and Run style this time.

No, this week’s roundup shall be summarized in photos. Photos of football booties.
