So the draft came and went, and I have to say that I really wasn’t super excited about this. Will the Bills pick up a QB? Will we get some more horrid rookie OL? Maybe a RB? Too many questions (so I opted for happy hours) and much to my surprise, more or less everyone is disappointed with the Buffalo Bills’ choices. Self included. Let’s take a look, shall we? Yes, your writer is that lame and punny today. But I just got back from the Caribbean and am feeling all warm and fuzzy and have a desire to look at more sea creatures (explained in a mere moment). And with the Pro Bowl behind us and the Super Bowl (and Puppy Bowl!) ahead, I felt the need to interject before draft hype gets too out of hand and remind everyone just how awesome Ndamukong Suh is on all levels. Best photo EVER after the jump. Continue reading
While some may think that May is a bit early to be discussing football, I disagree! Especially when contemplating adding a new team to your rooting roster. The St. Louis Rams (now you really think I’m crazy!) have been on a my radar for the past few years, and now with the acquisition of a certain Ohio State player I thought it was time to analyze their potential in becoming mine, and possibly your, new team!
I see a trend in my posts relating to time travel, so let’s roll with it… On to that beautiful time of year when Football and Baseball intersect to form a perfect fall day!
With the NFL Draft happening this past weekend, I couldn’t help but notice the smorgasbord of hotties available to the 32 NFL teams. So what better way to commemorate the unofficial start of the 2009 NFL season than with the inaugural Ladies… NFL Draft of Hotness. Obviously our pool of eligible draft picks are all the lovely gentlemen who entered the 2009 NFL Draft. Not all of the selections were drafted, but they were too dreamy to just leave in the dust. So without further ado…
With the first pick in the 2009 NFL Draft of Hotness, the Ladies… select…
Chances are you’ll be reading this in 2009. That’s okay. It’s a holiday and you were preparing yourself for the New Year’s Eve celebrations. But if you are reading this in 2008 then let’s go through a review of what happened this year. Specifically what happened every Wednesday of this year. Yes, we’re going to be taking a look back at the Hump Day Hotties that have graced our blog in the ’08. Why? Because how could you not want to take a trip down memory lane and remember Ryan Lochte?
So let’s go back through the year that was and enjoy our hotties one more time before we sing “Auld Lang Syne.” And if you’re reading this in 2009, remember when Lochte was so smoking in 2008 he made the Ladies… HDH? Yeah, that was awesome.
I was under the impression that linebackers were, you know, rather lumpy. Not pretty, or at least not appealing to my own sensibilities. Then this cat from USC started showing up in ads and on my television.
Why was I not made aware of this sooner?
More Rey, and other hottie prospects for next year’s NFL and NBA drafts, after the jump.
As you may know, the Ladies… spent Saturday and Sunday watching and blogging the NFL Draft. Strapping young men in suits about to be come millionaires? Yes, please!
Football powers, activate!
After the jump, a look at some of the best and brightest of the draft. Keep in mind that this list is nowhere near comprehensive, as there were many, many hot men who got new jobs this weekend. These are some of my favorites. Please feel free to share your favorites in the comments.
Where will Darren McFadden park the Crown Vic? Find out with us tomorrow!
Today, a few of the Ladies… will be over at SportsbyBrooks, liveblogging. Join us for sixteen hours of smart ass comments, fashion judgments on the draft picks, and of course, the football analysis that you’ve come to expect from the Ladies… The best part is that we will be using Cover It Live, software that allows you to chat with us as we blog. Stop by, say hello, tell us what you think of Chris Berman, or if you’re a Jets fan, just to say BOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
One of the top college football stories at Sports Illustrated right now has the headline, “Size Matters for Wide Receivers in the Class of 2008.” And because I am a 12 year old girl, that made me snicker. Then I clicked on the article and came face-to-face with Alabama boy Julio Jones (pictured below). Holy moly. He’s 6’4, 215 lbs and just completed his junior year of high school. Plastics, Julio. [Uhh, That Kid’s In High School?]
Thank Football Jesus (there’s a separate one for football), IT’S HERE.
As Draft Day dawns in America (be sure to check the actual picks against our wildly inaccurate but funnier ones over at Awful Announcing’s mock draft), the Ladies… would like to take this moment to kick back and fantasize about whom we’d like to see roaming our sidelines next season. (Of our teams. We meant the sidelines of our teams. Like, on the field where they play football. Naughty.) Join us, won’t you?
