Saturday Morning Hate Sex

The season is waning!  This year has simply flown by in a haze of ludicrous upsets and marquee comebacks.  And it finally feels like fall, even in southern California.  Perfect day to curl up with a good book, a glass of wine, and reflect on the changes of the past year chain one of your most attractive nemeses to the bed and commence to forgetting your worries.  Bit of a nail-biting weekend for us last week…of the seven Ladies’ teams playing, we had two three-point margins of victory (Texas and Pitt), a four-point win (Michigan), and a one-point loss (Wake). We were 5-2 on the week, and that’s something to celebrate, particularly in 2007, the Year of the What The Hell. It’s Saturday morning, though….time to go from nail bites to neck bites.

Welcome to the weekend, dear readers.  Let’s get it on….after the jump:

For J-Money and her Wake Forest Demon Deacons:  Jameel Sewell, QB, Virginia Cavaliers.  Only 20 of 43 for 225 and a score, plus another 47 on the ground…but he’s wearing eye black, and that goes a long way around here.

For Metschick and her Rutgers Scarlet Knights (who, really, already avenged themselves with a convincing stomp of Army last night):  Tyvon Branch, CB, Connecticut Huskies.  4 kick returns averaging 46 yards each.  We’re interested.  Unsurprisingly, he’s a bit of a runner (that’s him in the middle).

On tap today for the Ladies (all times Eastern):

  • Michigan @ Wisconsin, 12:00, ESPN
  • Wake Forest @ Clemson, 12:00, ESPN2
  • Minnesota @ Iowa, 12:00, BTN
  • Arkansas @ Tennessee, 12:30, Lincon Financial/Yahoo
  • Texas Tech @ Texas, 3:30, ABC

Enjoy the games, everyone.

Yeah, but it’s Army. Can I really get so excited about that?

We need to beat Pitt next week.

  2. Yeah, but Illnois brightened my day a bit. At least I have that to throw back at all the Suckeye fans around me!

And that also means Mich. can still win the Big 10 outright next week. Hart, rally your troops!!! (Can we get Crowe to come back too?)
