I’m in Olympic denial.

The Olympics aren’t over! What are you talking about? Closing Ceremony? What Closing Ceremony? Ok, fine. They are over. I have to stop writing about them … after this post. Looking at our header, and the gorgeous Olympians who have been staring back at us for the past month, the men on the right did really well. The ones on the left? Ouch.

Boys, can you comfort me about the ends of the games? Thanks!

On the right, we have:

Jonathan Horton, gymnast: Horton was the adorable leader of the men’s bronze-medal winning team. He also won individual silver on the high bar.

Lebron James: James endeared himself to the American public by being an excellent leader on Team USA, helping them win gold.

Ryan Lochte: The Ladies… favorite won individual and relay gold, and a silver. And he did it all for us. Thanks, Ryan! Stop by Ladies… headquarters anytime, and we’ll treat you to lunch.

As for the left:

Brad Vering: Brad, a Greco-Roman wrestler, came into the Olympics with world silver medal. He left one win and a disappointing loss in the semis.

Tyson Gay: Oh, Tyson. You’ve been doubly cursed – by both being on the left side and by being featured in “A Shot at Glory. Gay didn’t qualify for the 100m, even though he was expected to challenge Usain Bolt.

Diver: So, when I did the banner, I was positive that it was David Boudia. But now I think it was Thomas Finchum. It really doesn’t matter, as the U.S. pretty much stunk up the diving board.

So, that’s it. That’s the end of the Olympics. I’m not holding on, I promise!
