We here at Ladies… are not the most dutiful of bloggers when it comes to the NBA, particularly at the beginning of the season.  Hey, if you start your season at the same time as the start of hockey season, the World Series, and peak college and NFL football action, you’re going to have to really stick out to get us to pay attention.  Still, now that we are roughly 10 games in, there are a few things you might want to know about if you were too busy cyber-stalking Buster Posey to flip on TNT.

NBA Haiku Preview Part II: Southeast and Northwest Divisions

The NBA season starts in just under two weeks, so it’s time for the second installment of our Haiku Previews. (If you missed it, part one is here.)

Living in New York, I’m tolerably familiar with the Eastern Conference in general and the Atlantic Division in particular, so horrible Bucks haiku blunder aside, last week was the “easy” week in terms of research.  This week’s haikus owe much to TrueHoop, Henry Abbott’s excellent NBA blog (which I was reading before ESPN hired him, so I feel all cool), as well as the various NBA team blogs hosted at SBNation. I will say the pictures came a bit easier this week — there are some lovely, lovely men in the Eastern Conference’s Southeast and the Western Conference’s Northwest divisions.

Again, the teams are listed in order of last year’s final regular division standings.

Misery Loves Company… In Our Nation’s Capital

There is an understanding in my home state of Maryland, you either root for the Redskins, or you root for everyone else but the Skins. I’m a glutton for punishment, so I became a sad sap of a human, full equipped with Skins Starter jacket and a love of Joe Gibbs.  Follow me this week as we travel through the capital city of this great land, and the teams that almost seem like afterthoughts to professional sports.

Massive NBA Preview Part II: Southeast and Southwest

We now interrupt your previously scheduled 100 Hotties entertainment to bring you some even more previously scheduled entertainment. This is the second part of the Massive NBA Preview in Pictures: two divisions per week, ten teams every Friday until the season starts at the end of this month. What teams will be good, what teams will do badly, and what hotties you should keep an eye out for: this preview answers all your questions. The divisions are chosen mostly by which teams I have enough pictures for by Friday. This week: the Southeast division, featuring the Heat, the Magic, the and the Wizards, and the Southwest division, featuring the Hornets, Rockets and Spurs.

How will the Hawks do this season? More importantly, how much hotter can Al Horford possibly get?

Hump Day Hottie: Washington Wizards

While this isn’t my favorite time of year, I must admit that it’s pretty cool that both the NBA and NHL have their playoffs and Finals during the same time of year. Every single night there is some type of sporting event you can watch. Which means that every single night there are hotties running up and down the court or skating around the rink. It gives us a chance to observe all the men we would (or have) normally miss. So while the NBA and the NHL goes through their playoffs from now until June we’re going to make our Hump Day Hottie a team event. Up first is the Washington Wizards. Cause who knows how long they’re gonna still be in the playoffs.

This is Caron Butler. He looks 10x hotter in a Wizards uniform than a Huskies one. Between us Caron we’ll forget you went to that pesky school in Connecticut, ok?
