White Pat White led the West Virginia Mountaineers to a win in the Meineke Car Care Bowl on Saturday, December 27, 2008, he made history.
White is the first to win four bowl games, all at the starting quarterback position. He was also voted most valuable player of a bowl game for a third consecutive season. White completed 14 of his first 15 passes and finished with 26 out of 32. He had three touchdowns and only one interception. He showed a more well-rounded side to his usual dominance as the most prolific running quarterback of all time in college football.
Here he is, celebrating (with his coach Bill Stewart) and in action on the field.
Hopefully, with his actions speaking louder than words, he’s made his case and we’ll see him drafted somewhere next year!
