Paul Lo Duca wonders where his next teenage girlfriend’s coming from. Or he’s celebrating his own 2-HR effort. He had 7 RBIs in the Mets’ 11-7 win over the Reds.
And the Phillies kept pace, beating the Braves 5-2. RyHo hit his 37th HR of the season.
The Cubs did themselves no favors, losing the Dodgers 6-2. Their lead in the NL Central is down to 1/2 a game over the Brewers, and 1 game over the Cardinals.
Man-hugs all around as the Brewers take advantage of the Cubs loss to gain ground on the by beating the Astros 5-3.
I can’t keep track who’s on the Cardinals anymore. Russell Branyan jacked one out, and Joel Pineiro pitched well, in a 6-2 victory over the Pirates.
The Baby Snakes celebrate their 9-1 win over the Padres, leaving them in a virtual tie with San Diego for the NL West Division lead.
