Thursday’s Hottie Hit n Run

The Hotties of the Colorado Rockies completed a 3-game sweep of the NL Central-leading Brewers yesterday afternoon with a 19-4 routing. That’s practically a football score! (In fact, one year the Iowa/PSU game was 6-4, so I think this one counts as a football score). 3B Garrett Atkins and SS Troy Tulowitzki had 4 hits apiece and drove in 9 of the team’s 19 runs. Plus, they are both really cute. Tap the Rockies, indeed. [The Cubs and Cardinals (Who Are Not Out of It Yet, Thankyouverymuch) Would like to Thank the Colorado Rockies and Their Brooms]

The Boston Celtics are now resorting to asking players to come out of retirement to help them. Future Hall-of-Famer Hottie Reggie Miller was approached yesterday about coming out of retirement to play for the Celtics next year. Miller played for 18 years with the Indiana Pacers. I think he’s cute. I had a whole page of Reggie Miller cards in my NBA cards binder. He is turning 42 next month, but the Celtics want to make a run at a title and Reggie never won one with Indiana. Hey, maybe the Celtics could also ask back Karl Malone, Charles Barkley and Elgin Baylor. [Isiah Thomas is Mad He Didn’t Think of This First]

The PGA Championship starts today, which means many good-looking men are strutting off into the lush grass in funny-looking pants. We’ve got the odds-on favorite in Tiger Woods, we’ve got Sergio “Gimme 1 Putt, Gimme 1 Putt Mister, Gimme 1 Putt Towards the Door” Garcia, we’ve got Zach Johnson and God (they play as a team since the Masters) and we’ve got Rory Sabbatini, who joked that the heat at the tournament will help him lose some weight and said, “I’m thinking of wearing a black, cashmere sweater.” Haha!

Awww, this picture just makes me smile. And sad.

Sergio is so cute! Even in orange & white.

Snazzy jacket there, Cedar Rapids.

Sabbatini sounds like an old magician act….

The Amazing Sabbatini!

  1. Reggie Miller is cute. Yeah. And I also love him because he’s said more than once that Cheryl routinely beat his ass (um, he probably said it nicely, though) in driveway one-on-one. Never had any problem admitting it, you know?

  2. A friend of mine met Zach a couple years ago (no word on if God was there or not). He said, “Mr. Johnson, I’m hitting all my irons to the right, what do you recommend?”

    “Aim left.”

  3. I had Reggie’s poster on my wall. I’m not a Pacers fan, but I don’t want to see him in another uniform.
