Thursday’s Hottie Hit n Run

Baseball Hottie (he’s not a stone fox, but he’s a cutie) Sammy Sosa has become just the fifth member of the prestigious 600 Home Run Club, hitting a home run in the bottom of the 5th against Cubs pitcher Jason Marquis. The members of the 600 Club include Hank Aaron, Barry Bonds, Babe Ruth, Willie Mays and now Sosa. Quite the elite group, I must say. By the end of the season, we could add a 6th name in Ken Griffey Jr. Anyway, good job Sammy. [I Will Always Remember the Summer of 1998 Very Fondly, Congratulations, Sammy Sosa]

Old Dude Hottie Reggie Theus has been appointed as the new head coach of the Sacramento Kings. I know this is sort of old news, but I really wanted to include this YouTube clip. Thespian Theus is best known (by me) as the coach from “Hang Time.” I had a total crush on Adam Frost and yes, I know how dorky-looking he is. Also, I hear Dick Butkus is now looking for a head coaching job too. He thinks he can parlay his time on “Hang Time” and “My Two Dads” into something. Indiana Hoosier Red maybe? (That is not a joke about Terry Hoeppner, I liked him and it is very sad that he passed away).

MLB Newcomer Hottie Terry Evans played in his first game in The Show last night, cracking a two-run homer in the bottom of the 2nd off of Wandy Rodriguez and the Houston Astros. Terry was a 47th round pick in the 2001 draft by the St. Louis Cardinals, but made his first start for the Southern California Los Angeles Angels of East Anaheim and Long Beach. (heh).  “I was thinking in the outfield, `I have this to remember the rest of my life,'” Evans said. “And my dad got to see it. To come back and win like that, it’s just the perfect night.” [Iz in Yur Sxy Beisbol Pahnts, Hitin yur Homrs]

Hello there, young man.
Need any batting practice?

NASCAR Hottie Jeff Gordon (yes, there are NASCAR hotties. Hell, we featured one two days in a row because the hotness just could not be contained in one day) can start a new club with Lebron James and Tiger Woods. It’s the New Babies Club. Jeff and his wife, model Ingrid Vandebosch, gave birth to a baby girl yesterday morning. Her name is Ella Sofia Gordon and mother and daughter both appear to be doing great. Congratulations Jeff and Ingrid. [Will She Get a Racecar Bed When She Graduates from the Crib?]

Mmmm, look at those forearms.

  1. ahh… the Hang Time reference. I was starting to think that the show was just a figment of my imagination as I couldn’t find anyone to confirm it’s existance. I feel much better now.

  2. Hang Time! I loved the cool ass graphics during the theme song. Must’ve cost an arm and a leg.

Damn you, Andie, now I’m going to waste my afternoon looking at clips of this show on youtube.

  3. Texas Gal – You should see him! I was watching the game when he homered, and my jaw dropped!

What was totally cute? They kept cutting to his father who stood there videotaping him running the bases! I was like, “Dude! He’s on TV now! Put down the damn camera!”
