Confederation's Cup Cuties

Considering there was quite a bit of baseball, golf and various forms of racing happening this weekend, I was super excited every time I sat in front of the TV and there was international soccer on both ESPN and ESPN2.

The Confederations Cup is going on in South Africa. This is a tournament that happens every four years, the year before the World Cup. It pits the previous WC Champion against the winners of the various FIFA Confederations. Wikidpedia gives us this handy chart:

So to celebrate , let’s check out some of the beautiful men who played the beautiful game this weekend.

We’ll start with the teams who have not advanced to the semi-finals.

Not sure who this is in the front, but he’s about four shades darker than anyone else on the team! Look at those pale, shirtless boys. Oily McAbs up front there is a bit too pretty for me, but I know he’ll give some of you readers sweet dreams.

Meet Iraqi goalies Mohammed Kassid (L) and Noor Sabri (R). Why yes, I do like goalies, why do you ask?

Now for the team advancing to the semi-finals.

I know how you readers like dirty boys, so I’m giving you Brazil goalie Julio Cesar

When it comes to the Spanish soccer team, you know I’m going to post Fernando Torres. Plus, he (alongside teammate David Villa) is leading the tournament with three goals.

But for the rest of you who don’t share my love, here’s Cesc Fabregas

The U.S. Team got in by the skin of their teeth with a 3-0 win over Egypt. I decided to go with some of the newer, lesser-known hotties of the US National Team
