A week after losing to Virginia Tech, #6 Wake Forest goes and beats # 1 Duke, all thanks to this guy. James Johnson scored 13 point, including the shot with 0.8 seconds left to win the game, 70-68. Duke’s Kyle Singler had 22 points and 12 rebounds, but that wasn’t enough.

Also going down last night were the #3 Pittsburgh Panther. They were stunned by the #21 Villanova Wildcats, 67-57. Villanova’s Reggie Redding had a career night, scoring 18 points and grabbed 7 rebounds, in the last college basketball game to be played in Philadelphia’s Spectrum.

Kevin Durant also had a monster night for his team, the Oklahoma Thunder. He scored 35 points against the Memphis Grizzlies, helping to secure a 114-102 OT victory. This is the Grizzlies’ 11th straight loss.

The Penguins spanked the Rangers, 6-2, with Petr Sykora and Kris Letang each netting 2 goals a piece. Sidney Crosby added a 5th goal. The Pens scored 5 times in the third to turn the game into a laugher. (Can you say that in hockey?)
Anyone else think we might be heading for a super chaotic March Madness? I’m not even sure how you pick the 4 no 1 seeds at this point.
(Can you say that in hockey?)
Yes, yes you can. Sid’s goal was amazing.
Games-This is going to be the best March Madness ever!
Pam-Sid’s goal was absolutely beautiful. I just wish I didn’t have to wait for the freakin’ highlights to see it. Damn it Bettman & Versus!
I still can’t believe that UC beat G-town. That’s 4 straight losses and UC lately has been one big pile of suck.
It will be awesome to have a for-real March Madness, where ANYTHING can happen.
TW, I saw it when it happened, but I needed to see it in slow mo’ from the camera by the corner boards to truly appreciate how awesome it was.
(living in NJ we get spoiled with three local hockey broadcasts).
