All of you will have to excuse me this week. I had to fight the urge to do another Rafael Nadal HDH. And I do mean fight. I was so close to just giving in and doing an All–Wimbledon version. But I didn’t because my obsession fandom should not be a burden to Ladies. Instead I decided to go with an All-Star we haven’t covered yet. You all saw Cinnamon Girl’s All-Star post showing that really hot wall picture of Joe Mauer. Well, I was hooked. So here’s much more from the Minnesota cutie.

He looks very geeky but cute with the glasses! Just adorable! He definately deserved his own HDH. Hottie for sure and a GREAT player! Will be watching him during the All Star ceremonies! (well, along with Hanley Ramirez, Dan Uggla, and every other hottie on the All Star teams! )
Okay, so he scores points for wearing a real catcher’s mask/helmet, and not the goalie-helmet thing, however, if he wears the helmet with the brim in the front he loses some of those points.

Sideburns are a little long for my taste, but otherwise, DAMN!
Aw, I think the long sideburns suit him – kicking it old school. Plus it reminds me of Eddie Cahill in Miracle (which is the best sports hottie movie of all time, if you’re into 19-year-olds, which I am).
I dig the tall catcher thing. I love short catchers, of course, but there’s something endearing about seeing him fold those limbs up to crouch.
i was home in minnesota for the summer two years ago and there was a great commercial that was running that joe mauer was in at the time. my friend michelle and i turned from tomboys into completely ridiculous squealing girls every time it came on. we also spent several afternoons drinking cheap beer in dirty bars in the middle of nowhere with old men yelling at the tv… which turned out to be one of my favorite things to do so it all worked out in the end.

Mauer, I love him! I think part of it is he just seems like a nice guy too.
