The Titans beat the Saints, 34-10, in a game I did not watch because I was busy avoiding the television. The Saints are now 0-3, and c’mon – even the Giants have a win! Anyways, it’s not so bad, at least you have LSU.

And this guy:

After losing to Jesse Litsch of the Blue Jays, 4-1, the Yankees participated in some rookie hazing: the guys dressed up as characters from the Wizard of Oz. Joba Chamberlain was the Cowardly Lion, Kei Igawa was a flying monkey, Ian Kennedy was Dorothy, Shelley Duncan was the Scarecrow and Phil Hughes was the Tin Man.

Thanks for the laugh, as I certainly needed it after that disaster of a game the Mets played last night. They lost to the Nationals 13-4. ‘Nuff said.

Congrats to the Angels and Indians for clinching their divisions. Check out this neat photo essay from Sunday’s clincher at Jacobs Field.

I know it was shorter than usual, but you have the good hazing pictures and I may need to go cry into my pillow now.

  1. If the Mets do manage to stumble into the playoffs I like their odds (same with the Red Sox) when you look at the last few World Series champs. Both the Cards and the White Sox were crapping the bed through September the last 2 years then steamrolled everyone else during the actual playoffs. Same thing with the Colts last year in foosbawl.
